Although Jason hates Bruce Wayne he feels differently about his adoptive brothers. Tim was adopted by Bruce sometime after Jason ran away from Wayne Manor and came to Acme. Jason feels that Bruce adopted Tim in order to replace him and that Bruce was trying to make a better version of Jason. This has lead to Jason feeling some sort of animosity towards the kid and the fact that he now goes to school with the little runt is paining him even more. Though he would probably never admit it Jason is starting to grow fond of the boy after all. Seeing how Tim also knows what it’s like to fend for yourself on the streets of Gotham Jason does see a little bit of himself inside him.

“Ok, I’ll see you at 8” A smirk formed itself upon Jason’s face as he turned away from the brunette female to open the door to his dorm. He stepped inside and released the strap of his book bag off of his shoulder, letting it hit the floor. As of late things weren’t going so swell with the boy. Jason sat down at the edge of his bed and stared off deep in thought. His nightmares had been preventing him from staying on a normal sleeping pattern and it was beginning to screw with his academics. Jason thought that after he’d left Gotham to Acme he would never have to see the clown’s face again but he was wrong. Everytime Jason fell asleep he was once again face to face with his potential killer, being forced to relive the dreadful day. He’d never been so scared in his life. Jason was overall a fearless youth. Even when being beaten near death with a crowbar by a madman he still managed to crack jokes and attempt to land several punches on the Joker, so what was he scared of?

The fear that his father wouldn’t be there to help him the one time he needed it was even scarier. Before being adopted by Bruce Wayne Jason had been in plenty of sticky situations in Gotham City where it would’ve been nice to have had some assistance but he managed. Each time the metal bar came in contact with his flesh Jason hoped Bruce would barge in and come to his aid but he didn’t.

It was that moment where Jason’s train of thought was thrown of track by the sound of his iPhone ringing and vibrating in his pocket. As he took it out his eyes caught sight on who the caller was. It was Wayne Manor, Jason’s face became screwed up at the thought of it being Bruce. However he and Dick had been forming somewhat of a relationship as adoptive brothers and Alfred still managed to send him clothes every month, the least he could do was thank him. “Hello?” Jason answered , rubbing the back of his neck “Hello Jason, it’s been awhile.” Bruce replied. Jason, once again twisted his face to express his anger. “The hell do you want Bruce? I don’t have anything to say to you.” There was a long awkward pause before anyone spoke again.

“Good, then just listen.” Bruce waited before continuing “About what happened…I’m sor-” “Save it, You’ve said it all already.” Jason interrupted. “I’m your greatest failure, you wish you could’ve been there I get it.” He got up and began walking around the room as the conversation progressed “If I’ve learned anything from you it’s that sometimes sorry isn’t enough, you have to put things into action.” Jason was furious that Bruce hadn’t done a thing after what happened that night other then alert the GCPD. His expectations were that Bruce was going to hunt the Joker down and beat him just like he’d done Jason, so when that didn’t happen Jason’s whole outlook on the Wayne family changed. He hated them all from Dick down to Damian, though him and Dick were just starting to act like brothers. Bruce knew what Jason wanted him to do but he would never kill another human being no matter how psychotic. The conversation dragged on before finally coming to an end some 15 minutes later and it was obvious nothing had changed since the event. “No matter what Jason, you’re always welcome home.” After having said that Jason hung the phone up without closure and threw it at a nearby wall. He took his seat back on the edge of his bed, with his hands placed upon his head taking deep breaths. “Asshole, I’m no ones child.”

Went out clubbing.

Hung out with my usual crowd.

Slept with my best friend in Gotham. ~~Again.~~

Managed not to drink a single drop of alcohol. ~~Fuck yeah. Go me.~~

Managed to fuck up my friendship with Perry more than I could ever wish to repair.

And now you’re ready for a nap.
